Online registration for the extension of temporary protection ended on March 15, 2026. If you did not register, your temporary protection remains valid until March 31, 2026. After this date, you can apply for it again. For more information, see the section Application on the Information Portal for Foreigners.

If you have registered, your registration is valid until September 30, 2026. By that date, you must visit a Ministry of the Interior office to have a new visa sticker affixed. This step will extend your temporary protection until March 31, 2027. For more information, see the section Extension.

On April 1, 2026 , the process for expressing interest in special long-term residence was launched. Holders of temporary protection can express their interest until April 30, 2026, exclusively online via their user accounts on the Information Portal for Foreigners after logging in using electronic identity tools.
